G29 Force feedback not working with Logitech G Hub

Anyone else having a problem with no force feedback their G29 or G920 wheel when using Logitech's new G Hub suite (replacement for Logitech Gaming Software)? It used to work fine with LGS back in 2018.

All the buttons/pedals work, and the wheel even turns the car, but there is no feedback and the centering spring is stuck on. I'm also having this same issue with Dirt Rally.

I've reinstalled G Hub probably 5 times now and it's still not working, and I'm having trouble convincing Logitech Tech support that it's their software that is faulty.

I've heard running configuration wizard (in game) a few times, and switching USB ports helped with similar issues some time in the past... but this new drivers are just boolsheet.

I tried uninstalling G Hub and using LGS 9.02 but something about G Hub seems to have borked the drivers so now even LGS doesn't work anymore.

I've tried this and it still doesn't work unfortunately. I don't understand how Logitech's core business is peripherals, and they can't make them work correctly?

I have a g29 and run the G hub. No problems what so ever. I never have the problems that other people have. Because I have a dedicated gaming install, that is used for gaming only, nothing else.

Most peoples problems are from running all kinds of other crap that has nothing to do with gaming. Go through the "services" list and turn off everything that is not needed. Go through the "startup" list and turn off everything that is not needed. Uninstall everything that is not needed.

If you do not download stuff, browse the web, etc. Anti Virus is not needed. Though I do leave the m$ security stuff running, but nothing extra installed.

Over the years I have found it is simply best to have a gaming install, that is used for Gaming Only, NOTHING ELSE. I use Linux for every thing else.

You can install windblows for free, base install with no frills, stupid activate windows lower right corner. But minimilistic, if there is such a thing with windblows, but works great for gaming only.

Most peoples problems stem from running all kinds of crap that is installed and running in the background, interfering with other programs installed and running. Windblows is a monstrosity, and becomes worse as more things are installed. Keep it light and simple games only installed and their needed software. Eliminates 99-100% of the problems people experience.

I already do all of this stuff, I uninstall/disable unwanted services, run ccleaner, only use MS antivirus etc. Still nothing.

But that's beside the point. It's unrealistic to expect everyone to go through that level of care, especially when a) other programs run fine and Logitech seems to be the only problem, and b) we've been trained to not care and simply accept all the junk that's put on our computers by default (see all the crap that comes with any new gaming laptop)

Yeah it's definitely not the point, you should not have to disable almost every other process or have a dedicated gaming install for it to work. If you want to try the LGS google removing G Hub, from memory there a few steps involved. All I can say is I have zero issues with LGS and running any process on my rig and have done so for the past 5yrs with this wheel. It just works and works well.

GHUB is a bag of spanners. Only way I've got it to work reliably is to leave all wheel settings (rotation etc) at defaults and make the wheel settings persistent across all profiles with the padlock. Any deviation from the standard settings causes me issues including the FFB not working like you described. I've got a G923 - so not even their latest wheel works properly with this software.

I had no issues with my G25 and the really old LGS software when it came to adjusting the wheel rotation etc, this 923 just won't have it.

for me Ghub wont let me click on the g29 to open up the settings at all... quite frustrating tbh

I formatted my computer again and downloaded LGS instead GHUB and worked.

GHub might be a USB driver issue.

I started with LGS and then had issues with PC2 and F1/Dirt R 2 whereas other things worked. I put Ghub on and it was still conflicting. Fresh format and only Ghub and everything works now (this was on an intel system and now on an AMD Ryzen system)
Won't look back on LGS

also, I too use a g29, i've never had FFB issues with this game, hope youve figured it out since posting
