R34 Skyline very slow
Not sure what’s going on here but the R34 can’t seem to get out of second gear or barely over 60mph. If there’s a slight incline it won’t even accelerate and I might actually lose speed. It feels like driving with a clutch thats slipping really bad or something. Did I burn out the clutch launching or something? Does this game simulate burned clutches????
(I tried automatic transmission and I have the same issue).
It’s so slow I can literally floor it the entire course through almost every corner. Literally 40-60mph the entire course.

Every other car I’ve driven seems fine.

On the PS4 version I don’t have any issues with this car.
What could be going on?

Check all your settings first.

check your pedals make sure theyre not activating without you pressing them especially the brake you may need to invert the input and add or a deadzone. if you cant get out of 2nd gear make sure your shifter is bound correctly(out the shifter back into neutral before binding the next gear to be safe

For whatever reason, I had to rebind throttle and handbrake last night to stop handbrake being applied with throttle (even though they were mapped to different physical devices). AC/CM has some of the worst intermittent control issues I've ever dealt with.

I confirmed the issue with the in-game Pedals app-- there should only be one bar moving when you press the throttle.

thanks for replying. i confirmed there are no conflicts in the settings (in-game pedals app and the control settings)

the weird part it is only this car - every other car in the game i’ve tried doesnt have an issue.

to be clear i can physically get out of second gear no problem. i meant that the RPMs are taking forever to reach redline (so im “stuck” in second gear because no need to shift to third at low RPM/60mph)

Turns out my handbrake settings needed to be inverted. I realized the meter was showing full when it wasn’t engaged and empty when I did actually pull the handbrake. After inverting handbrake settings skyline is driving fine!!
Thanks everyone!

EDIT: handbrake meter wasn’t showing like this before and now even on old settings isn’t either
