Racing line wont help with that, you’ll still have to learn how to brake. Just break early until you get a feel for it then start braking later

I don't think there's an assist for that in this one.

If I'm new on a track, I'll look for tire marks. The ideal line is the darker part of the road.

ctrl+I but i's pretty bad, nobody uses it and the colors indicate braking throttle not accurately

I think good way is to follow AI but dont overtake it... the higher the strength the better for few laps. It might be better to drive a little faster car (with more grip, not neceserily power) vs high strength AI too, as very slow AI is too slow before corners making it poor guide there.

Ctrl + I 😂 though it doesn't tell you if you've braked enough or not it just shows you braking zones the rest is up to you

dont use the racing line forever. Pick a track and practice that track until you know where the racing line is without it being there then keep practicing. Another good tip is to use your surroundings for braking points. There are generally distance markers on the side of the track that you can use to figure out when you should start braking. But as someone else said, use the AI and set it to a higher difficulty and the same car as you and just follow them around for awhile and see if you can keep up. It takes a lot of practice to get even OK at sim racing

there is a sort of racing line already where there is rubber on the track, you can just about see a darker shade where most of the cars are braking and turning. however you can take a particular approach to most tracks the first time around:-

slow in, fast out. on most tracks you spend more of the laptime on straights so getting a good exit gains you the most time. diving into a corner and leaving braking late will give you little gains and a slight mistake will cost you time ALL THE WAY down the straight until the next corner.

slow in, fast out. learn the track then push the limits. :flag:

find your own braking point reference, a 100 yard marker or something is good.

remember a standard right or left hand corner will have 3 apex, 2 outer apex on the kerbs and 1 inner apex try to hit all 3 to get the nicest line through the corner. some corners are more complicated than that though so its just a guide.

oh and if going into a corner from a high speed straight, brake heavily in a straight line to bleed all your speed, then turn in while off the brakes, if you turn the steering while braking this can cause a lock up of the front wheels and you will understeer, as you get quicker you can add braking to your turns when youre more confident.

this channel looks like it has some good help on it. I might learn some more advanced stuff from it as this is about where im at.
