Not very user friendly

This has been my experience on my first day.

Select "Logitech G920" preset. Try to race. Nothing works. Look again to find the "preset" didn't actually assign the controls. So I manually assign controls. Nope, the pedals are all backwards, so I have to select "inverted" for all of them. Manually assign the paddle shifters. Try to race again... can't reset the view in VR. Look it up. Oh, ok... ctrl+space. Can't assign it to a button? Can't see how to, so now I have to lean forward to reach my keyboard, so it's not really resetting to the correct view.
Finally work that all out and find an online race. Pretty fun. Ok, I wrecked a lot and just want to quit... how TF do I quit while in a race?? No buttons on the keyboard or wheel do it?! Have to manually shut the program down.

Please let me know if there is an easy way to fix any of these issues. I'd appreciate it.

Use Content Manager. I'm in VR with a G29 for my wheel, and through CM I have reset VR, 'escape' and teleport to pits mapped to my wheel. (you can't just exit an online race, you have to be stationary and that is where the teleport to pits button comes in to use)

And if you don't have Custom Shaders Patch I recommend that too. Introduces so many improvements to the game like graphics, physics, day/night transition, rain (soon), ffb improvements. I use version 1.74 with no issue, 1.68 is probably more stable, 1.60 is just outdated now.

And for improved weather there is Sol. But I'd concentrate on the first two initially.

Thanks! I actually downloaded and installed Content Manager yesterday. Still figuring it out. One issue I did have though was after installing the shader pack the tracks looked too bright (blown out). Then on one online race there was a corner that has so much sun it literally blinded me and I couldn’t see a corner at all.

Also, how do you use CM to remap controls? I want to remap VR view reset to a wheel button.

Get Sol (but please follow the guide included to install it), from there you can change brightness in game via the Sol app. I use Natural Mod 7.1 as my PP filter as I find it the best for VR, this is of course entirely subjective but it is popular.

I'm really beginning to hate this game. Everything worked fine last night. I installed SOL and the Natural Mod filter today, that's it.
Now when I get on a track I have no reaction from my wheel or pedals. They show working fine in Content Manager, but I get nothing on the track. WHY??

The easy fix is saving your profile when everything works, then you can always go back.

Fixed it. For some reason my wheel setup in AC vanilla was completely reset. Set it back up there and now it works. The game is a blast... when it works. I'm not too good, but I've found if I can avoid the idiots wrecking into everyone and stay on the track, I don't do too bad. Was just 5th of 17. I'll take it.

Now that it’s running well and I’ve modded the ♥♥♥♥ out of it, WOW. I’m simply get lost in this game. Hours disappear. What day is this?? Where am I?? It’s the most immersive VR experience I’ve had. I absolutely love it.

Haha, nice! Im not on VR but for me it was similar. First the Game was... okaaaay but then i installed CM and Sol and Mods and oooh boy this is a great Game! =) Pedal to the Meta!! Idk do we say that?! :D
