YAEYE Xbox 360 controller recognized, but not reading inputs

Hiya people,

I'm having an issue where AC seems to recognize I have an Xbox 360 controller plugged in under "Detected Controllers", but none of the axes or buttons are being read. I've looked around to find that people have had issues with their inputs being read in the settings menu but not in-game, but nothing like what I'm having. Any idea why this would be happening?

And fyi, I've already tried deleting the saved presets folder under documents/Assetto Corsa/cfg/Controllers to be regenerated.

i think this is troublemaking about steam only controller setups... what so ever, before that stuff controllers worked better what steam did was botch, worthless,
Same problem with me, a ps4 controller as xb360 pad via ds4win, it worked perfectly a few months ago...
It recognizes the inputs but ignored a remapping fitting to the personal preference setting.

I don't use a game pad controller when playing AC, but should be able to offer some sort of help, so both of you try this.

On the steam client, go to 'Settings'.

Select Controller, then select 'GENERAL CONTROLLER SETTINGS', this should allow you to setup your controllers.

Also try the other Two controller setting option 'DESKTOP CONFIGURATION' and 'GUIDE BUTTON CHORD CONFIGURATION'.
Not sure what these Two options do as I don't have a game pad connected to the PC.

This i already tried...
Unfortunately, after a fresh reinstalled windows, i was going on this "problem".
What i can say to this, that in Big-Picture Mode, where are the settings for controller, there is no option for games where you can do take input mapping for games with support for controller / gamepad or steering wheel.
And in Assetto Corsa, there is only shown a xbox 360 gamepad, no gamepad(default) profile or whatever and no recognized inputs.

So i have to use ds4 win, to emulate that, which was the (best) only solution in past.

It is possible, to set up a new steering wheel / controller, and everything works except steering, which is for any minimal input / movement of analogstick full rotation of wheel, which is unplayable.

In this case, the game is unplayable for me, i dont have a steering wheel.
In past the game worked, as intended and i had alot 300 hrs plus good benefit, BUT, why is it at the end, when it worked perfect in the past years with any update this year ended up like this?

I just bought the game, but yeah, the controller configs recognize all the buttons and sticks, but for some reason it don't work in game. Weird. Guess I'll have to refund this.

Edit: Actually deleting those ini files in Assetto Corsa\cfg\controllers - not the presets - as the OP stated in his second post - fixed my issue. Cheers for that. Try deleting the files generated in controllers folder and not the presets folder OP?

Using a dualshock 4 with DS4Windows emulation of xbox 360 controller.

Open the "Big Picture Mode" on steam > Settings > Controller Configurations > Untick XBOX 360 option.

I had a similar problem and I solved it out.
