Controller not working after installing content manager

After installing the content manager, my xbox 360 controller suddenly stopped working with the game entirely, even though I enabled it as my main control scheme in the settings. The only thing I am capable of doing in a race is scroll through the pit settings with my keyboard. How can I fix this?

maybe you need to start assetto corsa original.exe and set all "keybinds" or even the bind tool for the controller under the option settings

same issue. while launching game directly xbox one controller works, but not with content manager.
