0 car mods working > missing lods.ini - no fix?
the amount of cars to choose from in the game isn't very fantastic imo, therefore seeking into the modding community for an answer for my thirst.

i've tried to launch >10 car mods and have not gotten a single one working, most of which are getting "Can't find lods.ini for ..." error messages.

been searching the webs but seems like the community has died out or im the only one.

tried to launch with cars in both \Documents\Assetto Corsa\content\cars and
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars

Put the mods in Steam \ Steam Apps \ common \ Assetto Corsa \ Content.... then cars go in the cars folder...... tracks go in the tracks folder etc.

WHEN YOU EXTRACT A MOD FOLDER...... LOOK INSIDE THE FOLDER FOR ANOTHER FOLDER WITH THE SAME NAME.......... Only one folder with the Mods name is what is needed. If you have 2 or more folders with the mods name then the mod will not load or work....ie: Nissan 240sx folder in a Nissan 240sx folder....... this is not good...... use one folder.

that was what i tried in the very begining however trying to start a practice lap makes the game refuse to start and i end up at the menu again (applies to all tracks/modes vanilla or not.) might be worth to add that winrar says that the files are corrupted when i extract them, the mods are from a wide viarity of sources and none of them work except one track mod.

Go to Racedepartment..... http://www.racedepartment.com/login/login ........ login or signup and login...... try using their mods, I have never had a problem with their mods.

I ONLY use mods from Racedepartment!!!
There's certain other site where everyone talks Greek ( I think) I opened a car to have a look and it was a blatant virus with .exe all over the place!
So, get used to typical folder content then have a quick look before you use them.
I've never had an issue with RD, I totally trust them.
