WHEN YOU EXTRACT A MOD FOLDER...... LOOK INSIDE THE FOLDER FOR ANOTHER FOLDER WITH THE SAME NAME.......... Only one folder with the Mods name is what is needed. If you have 2 or more folders with the mods name then the mod will not load or work....ie: Nissan 240sx folder in a Nissan 240sx folder....... this is not good...... use one folder.
that was what i tried in the very begining however trying to start a practice lap makes the game refuse to start and i end up at the menu again (applies to all tracks/modes vanilla or not.) might be worth to add that winrar says that the files are corrupted when i extract them, the mods are from a wide viarity of sources and none of them work except one track mod.
Go to Racedepartment..... http://www.racedepartment.com/login/login ........ login or signup and login...... try using their mods, I have never had a problem with their mods.
There's certain other site where everyone talks Greek ( I think) I opened a car to have a look and it was a blatant virus with .exe all over the place!
So, get used to typical folder content then have a quick look before you use them.
I've never had an issue with RD, I totally trust them.
