Weird FFB feeling
Hey guys. Had AC since it first came out but never really drove it much. Haven't done at all over the last couple years. Decided to try it again with content manager and sol etc.
The FFB is exhibiting a really weird trait that I can't seem to get rid of.

Once the car is moving at a decent speed the FFB gets heavier, which is fine, but then when you turn the wheel you feel a clunk and then it gets lighter. It's feels like a notch sticking that you have to overcome. Dunno if I am describing this very well? Never felt anything like this at all and it is just wrong. Normally drive rf2, r3e, ams2 and never any issues with anything like that.
Apart from that notch issue the ffb is ok. Nothing special but ok.

Anyone have any ideas on what this could be?

Take a look here, it could be the various "multipliers".

you using ffbclip? if so, its ffbclip causing that. just set your ffb manually at for example the skidpad found on racedepartment. pointless app.

Is soft lock enabled? Also CM has built in FFB tweaks, maybe reduce center boost range in CM control settings.

I thought FFBclip was to monitor if "clipping" occurred or not.. and to adjust accordingly. I was not under the impression it would cause a Force Feedback issue.

Can anyone confirm this or not?

I've not used it but it appears it does modify game files

I was using my own lut generated by wheelcheck but talking to a physics modder the other day he put me onto this, which for me has vastly improved my FFB on my G29.

Not to take away from the OP, I have no issues with FFBclip and was used with two different wheels.

Besides FFBclip, check for errors in any LUT you might have, it would be pretty easy to create FFB response OP describes through LUT.
Also i'd look at "enchanced understeer option" in game options (and disable it if it's on)

Ya it was FFB clip being on dynamic guys. Cheers. Turned it to manual and problem solved.
