Stuck on ''Setting Defaults'' on start up.

No idea what's happened. Only thing i did in the game was lower world detail to medium. Turned off the game. Came back 10 minutes later and it's stuck on ''Setting Defaults'' before the game loads into the menu's.

Tried verifying local files, no joy. Removed car mods i had installed earlier, didn't work.

Anyone know where the Defaults file is located? Maybe i can delete them and verify the game again.

hi again.for me it worked when i deleted a file file__0.localstorage in
\Documents\Assetto Corsa\launcherdata\Local Storage

Thanks for the reply. I ended up just doing a clean install of the game. But good to know if it ever happens again

I am having the same issue what should i do?

i tried deleting file_0 in local storage but it just comes back when i try launching game...

Delete/Rename/Move the entire AC folder in documents and then restart and configure it.

If you have any mods, apps, cars or tracks you have added, remove them as they may be causing an error.

Installing AC does not remove its configuration because the AC folder remains in documents and you only need remove it to reset AC.

this happened to just now because i had installed a few car mods, deleting them from the content/cars folder made my game start up. I knew i shouldnt have trusted those mods though

Hi, I just experienced the same issue. I figured it out on another community post. It works for me instantly. the solution is "Try deleting the Assetto Corsa folder in documents and try launching it again."
