This is a racing sim, it is designed to be realistic, if you're looking for a simple arcade game, you're not going to find it here, if you're looking for realism, you will find it here.
You have the official japanese pack with plenty of cars
That said, i will probably get the full edition of this, I heard there are mods and the base game is equally great. I mean, if i get a steering wheel, why not go for this too. This one looks like the only racing game that is interesting. I browsed a bunch of them on steam, and none look as good as this.
There are some servers who host only drifting maps, including those example tracks written above so drifting and driving even in tandem isn't that rare if you're into that.
I can't say for sure how difficult and/or realistic are those console Initial D Arcades compared to AC, but I'd guess you would totally enjoy your time with Assetto Corsa's world of drift as well as racing on normal tracks also.
For sure though if you got the skills and the patience you can drift like a king.
I want everything in a single bundle.
afaik nope.
So you buy what interests you, since each car is tuned differently? I bought the game + dream pack + japanese pack. If i really, really like it, i might buy some of the others from time to time, especially on sale. Still have to get a steering wheel, however.
While it's not a drifting tutorial, you will learn alot from the series of videos. I think there are 9 in all and well worth your time.
