Turbo Diesels?
Is there a possibility of the Volkswagen older turbo diesels/Seats etc getting added into the game with some smoke action? Would love this

Its getting harder and harder to tell whos trolling and who isnt on this forum.

To my mind racing sims are all about getting to drive cars no one will ever let me drive, Lotus type 49, Sauber-Mercedes C9, that kind of thing. I already own an old VW which I can drive any time I like AND its doesnt have an engine out of farm machinery, which is basically what you are asking for.

I can honestly say if Kunos announced they were adding a mk4 golf to this game I would be the proud owner of a years iracing subscription less than 10 minutes later.

Lol, no diesels are not farm equipment these days. Ha ha my Polo currently runs a 13.8 second quarter mile at altitude and that's without upgrading the turbo or intercooler. So I'm interested in diesels at the moment and besides diesels, I wouldn't mind seen some smaller hot hatches been thrown into the mix some of the older 1.6 and 1.8 machines. Apologies if I sound like I'm trolling but I'm seriously looking for a game I can get stuck into and compete against other like minded racers with

Oh and just for the sake of stating this, this game drew my attention alot more as soon as they added that Japanese pack nom nom nom. I have owned an FD RX7 in real life and oh what a car

As a mod sure but as official content I would not pay for it. They would need a license too.

Ah the whole license thing, you're right it would be costly to purchase big name brands especially if only a few enthusiasts like myself were interested. Thank you for the input

Have you had a look through the insane amount of mods for this game? il be shocked if you cant find what you are looking for, only problem with mods is finding others online with those mods, only the really popular mods are used online.

But I do see where you are coming from, I prefer road cars to race cars, just please for the love of god not a mk4 golf, v6 engine or not.

Lol ha ha mk4. Also buddy, mind if I ask does this game support a ps4 controller? I have one so I'm not interested in rushing out to buy an xbox controller for my pc(fyi wrc 6 doesn't support the ps4 controller sigh). I've been using it in Dirt rally and it worked well in that game. I don't want to flood this board with my threads so I'll pose this question here

I honestly dont know mate, I know I have set up a mates pc to read the ps3 controller as an xbone controller and it was a real ball ache. It suprises me that dirt rally recognises your ps4 controller. Im sure if someone on here is using a ps4 pad they will jump in and say so.

Sounds to me like you are a bit of a petrol head, if im right about that you are gonna need a proper wheel and pedals, and probably a VR. The oculus DK2 is cheap second hand these days and you dont need a monster pc to run it.

Yeah I do alot of time trial racing in real life(used to before work got insanely busy ha ha will get back into it again). I'm passionate about cars and racing is life. I had a wheel and pedals and a shifter but no space for my special seat so ended up giving it away to a friend. I bought the wheel etc when I first started project cars because I assumed the funny handling feel in that game was down to using a controller or keyboard but I was wrong because that same funny handling feel continued with the wheel still. I'm happy that there seem to at least be car guys on here for a change.

let's re-set and begin anew...

AFAIR VW used to support at least one race-series with the Jetta-TDI (iRental offers it amongst it's road-racers).
Yet with the more recent news and politics around Volkswagen and their "Dieselgate" I do not exactly expect them to be seeking for further (global) marketing-opportunities regarding their diesel-engines. Apparently they full-on cheated the system because of a business-decision in the development-phase of the affected vintage of 2.0l engines (...)

Also, they just struck a major deal with A.C. (Porsche is an official part of Volkswagen group nowadays). Bring on the Cayenne & Panamera V6-Diesel, then ... or not. That is their decision to make.

Apart from that, you say you owned a classic Rx7. I honestly don't know why you don't own AC plus Jappack, already? Afraid of being reminded of an awesome car?

Ha ha Samantha.... Black Friday approaches so specials are on the horizon. Also waiting to hear if I can use the PS4 controller with the game because it would be a great help just to start things off then later get a wheel etc again.

And yes I'm afraid of falling in love with my FD RX7 all over again such a car.

I would not mind if there was some VW cup-car added, even a few classics would be interesting.

Adding a large number of "grocery cars" is not something I want to see.
A few might add some interesting variety but it is better to simulate cars you can't get to drive in the real world.

There's still large number of legendary cars that could be added so I hope those have priority.
