Can you help me? New Monitor: 75hz Freesync - Stuttering (old Monitior: VSync 60hz: No Stuttering) - Ideas?
Hey @all,

I´ve got a new monitor. WQHD - 75Hz and Freesync. And now the game environment stutters in corners. It feels, like it´s out of sync. FPS is between 60 and 80. I´tried many options: AMD Drivers: Cut at 75 and 73 FPS, Game cut at 75 and 73 FPS, Vsync on/ off, and the background is still stuttering. In other games (ACC, Dirt Rally 2.0) it´s completley smooth - even with lower FPS.

Has anybody an idea, what this can be? I know, that some games (for example: The Division) don´t work with freesync. Is it possible, that AC does not suppord this feature?

Thanks for your replies.

And now: I started the game with the new Monitor in 60Hz and VSync, and it is totally smooth. Wiered. But: I don´t want to set it to 60Hz and Vsync everytime, when I change the game to AC. Perhaps, there is somebody out there, who can help me. :)

Have you enabled Freesync on your panel (monitor)? Also try setting to 'On' in Radeon control panel instead of AMD Optimzed. There is also a little benchmark tool called AMD Windmill Demo, it will help you verify that freesync is working correctly. Little difficult to find but it's out there, about 158mb download when you find it.

Hey, thanks, mate.

Tried the windmill-demo and freesync worked perfectly. It´s weird, but here are my resolutions for several games now:

Assetto Corsa: Freesync does not work over 60FPS. It works perfectly from 48 to 60. But above 60: Stuttering.

Dirt Rally 2.0: Works perfectly (!) with the cutting at 73FPS. It is soooo smoth now.

And now the weirdest: Assetto Corsa Competitzione works with the cutting at 73FPS - but NOT with the AMD Adrenaline Driver Tool - only with the Riva Tuner Statistics Server Software. I saw a tutorial, in which somebody said, that the RTSS-Tool has the most accurate frame timings.

My Resolution now: I cut every game with RTSS individually. But it´s worth the effort. Maybe I can help some people with this information. :)

BTW: The monitor enables freesync automatically. But i will also give it a try with the setting to "on" instead of "amd optimized". Thanks for the hint, man!
