Automatic Shifting in Content Manager

I can't seem to find the setting to make automatic shifting default in CM. I have manual shifting on every car even though I've picked auto shifting in drive page. CTRL+G works in game, but I want to make it a default setting. This is happening in multiplayer, did not try singleplayer. Can anyone help out?

Edit: I've also lost my ideal lines with it.

In CM on the 'Drive' page...next to where it says 'Tyre Blankets' are 3 little dots...click on those, Sir.
But for online I think the server host sets the rules about assists etc.

That's exactly what I've done. Edited one of the preset "difficulty" settings to my liking by pressing the three tiny dots. The servers I join allow the assists I want to use too, since I can just enable them with the keybind. That is the weird thing. It is like the game does not recognize my assist settings.

Edit: I did not realize the fact that it does not save my changes unless I save a physical profile on my computer. That should solve it. Thank you.
