If you are complete beginner to the track maybe something like Mazda mx5 cup. It's not super slow, while being able to take more corners easy flat and stops on a dime if you forget what corner is coming next.

Besides that i'd recommend any FR car like
BMW 235i (has slicks and no downforce or too much power)
Toyota GT86 (great handling, a bit slow)
BMW Z4 (like toyota but more tailhappy and it's gt3 variant is probably the best entry level racecar for nordshleife).

Also since you mention "no driving helps" X-bow can be very fun there, but you have to know how to tame it.
And a honorable mention to DTM cars like Alfa 155 Ti V6 or Merc 190E EVO they fit great with the track.

Great suggestions. I will try these cars.
I am not complete new to the Track... i try it since it is in varies Sims... but i never get the pacience to learn it complete...." if you forget what corner is coming next." is detroying nearly every Laptime.

The Tatuus would be my pick.
Reasons are, totally clear view of your surroundings.
The car stops incredibly quickly which makes it easy to correct a corner you weren't expecting very easily, and while it is quite fast it isn't scary fast.
Goes round corners like it is on rails with the downforce and light weight, no body roll in corners.
Don't let the race car vibe put you off, it's a very easy car to drive.

Also as much as public servers are usually labeled as crashfests, DrSlow nordshleife servers can be quite fun/relatively clean at times, especially if you care to not crash yourself.

It's easy to find a companion car to follow which could really speed up the learning process while being ton of fun too!

Tatuus FA is great for beginners imo. Not too slow and not too fast, very forgiving... 1st thing about Nords is to memorize the track, then the time chase begins.

Thank you all. I will test the Tatuus

Those are the only servers I have joined. I did not find any helpful people there but at least most of players there won't crash you off track.

My issue with those servers is that all the best cars are taken. And very often people hoard them while being afk or not racing :(

Also watch for different rules for those servers. Although they seem the same, they sometimes differ whether going off track will count your lap time or not.

My advice is, if you want to learn the very long track, play it in single player so you can choose any car you want and nobody will be able to ruin your run / fun :)

@vlastovka Yeah pubs are not for everyone. Thou i did had several people who struggled to make a lap without going off follow me for couple laps and be quite happy with improvent/do their personal best etc. But it guess it's a rare thing nowadays. Especially on weekends with all the sunday drivers around...
Also the recent influx of new players (Q4 2019) bumped the online quiality down a fair bit :(.
Thou car hoarders was always a problem... fortunately we still have mods that kick them from time to time.

I don't recommend to use a slow car, if you want to get good at a specific track. The whole point is having more experience at knowing the track layout. It's like asking a driving novice to drive in another country & say good luck to everybody.

So if time matter to you, use a mod with the most unrealistic car(Red Bull X2010). Do as many lap as you can, whatever view in your preference "3rd person is best by the way". Remove all damage & wear. So you can crash anywhere & continue your journey to progress.

When you know the track layout about 80% of it, you can practice with a slower car & use onboard for more precision. Emphasis on car control etc... Add more difficulty to your liking. If savage, put tons of AI or play in public lobbies.

Having madeover 1000+ laps on the Nürburgring (In PC2 and Assetto Corsa) I would suggest you to start with any GT3 car as the downforce, steering and braking is tuned to perfection it'll be easy for you to find the braking points and follow the racing line.
If you prefer a slightly less powered car, try driving the Mercedes 190E, the handling on it is amazing as well.

You can hit me up if you need more information

Ok, i thought the best way to learn the Track, is to start with a slower car..... but the great handling of the GT 3's can help....
Just for information... i drive Cockpit view with ABS and TCS on "real Car".

I tried the Audi TT Cup Car... an get one of my rare clean Laps...
this car sounds good, and drives very good, without being to fast.

But i definetly try all of your suggestions.
