Sure the vaule for the price is okay, but if you want an upgrade, go for Thrustmaster and a belt driven FFB.
The G29 is very close to the g25 for the FFB engine. You talk about Upgrade, it's what it is. You have more buttons on the wheel, with a better position directly on the wheel. i Had a g27, look at the shifter , the cross pad and 4 buttons are placed on it, that is not a good idea. I have the g29 for 6 months and i'm very satisfied of it. I play assetto via Content manager, which provide some extra tools for the FFB. ANd i was surprised that the brake pedal is now hard to push, that's not the case on G25 G27. All That for 170€, Go for it. You can obviously choose other wheels like thrusmaster or fanatec but they don't have better Quality/Price ratio for 170€. Moreover, you can add any shifter you like (The Th8-a is a good option)
Regards from France
If you want to seriouslty upgrade and feel a huge difference in FFB (and improve your times) get a T300RS (since T500 is way more expensive) for 220 euros with 2 pedals ( if you dont need a shifter).
Then when you have another 220euros, buy the Fanatec CSL Elite pedals with load cell, and APOCALYPSE........ (even bigger upgrade compared to the wheel)
You have an entry Hi end rig, enjoy!!!
