Does it have a career mode? Is it good?

I have played close to 100 hrs of PCars 2 and it being my first ever racing game I enjoyed it immensely, especially the wide variety of cars, tracks and opportunities available in career mode. Does this game have a similar mode? If not, do you recommend any other racing game with a rewarding career mode, baring F1 of-course which I've again played plenty.

The career mode in AC is lackluster at best- it was more of a last feature to be added, so its not very comprehensive IMO.

One of ACs best points is it is moddable, theres a tonne of cars, apps and tracks and even a superior launcher called Assetto Corsa Content Manager which can help manage and fix all mods, organise the game better, adds additional modes like trackday , allows better championship creation and generally is a far far better and faster launcher than the vanilla one AC uses.

A Trackday game mode allows you to run any circuit with a mix of cars you like and just lap endlessly without actually racing- ala like real life track days- it basically creates a practise mode with extended time and you can add AI opponents and use them as obstacles rather than race against them.

I find things like the career mode just not worth bothering about...it's not where this software shines.
But it's still the best VR experience that I own if that any use
