HTC Vive Pro - how to do it?
I purchased Assetto Corsa back in May, it is advertised as supporting VR with Vive – that is why I purchased it for my new HTC Vive Pro rig. Despite months of trying, I can’t get it to work with VR. All other Steam VR games have an option to “Play in VR” this one only has “Play in Theatre”. I was new to VR when I first bought the game and thought I would be able to figure it out, but now 3 months on, it’s clear that I’m not doing anything wrong, the game just doesn’t seem to work with VR.

I found a couple of methods described here (note they are different):

But I can't get these to work either.

Please help and provide clear and up-to-date instructions how I can get this to work.

I have a top-end spec so no issues there.

Assetto Corsa only loads in VR once you go on track, like when you start a race.

For it to work in VR at all you must select OpenVR for your Vive in the Video display settings drop down menu.

AC does not have VR menus but you can simply load up SteamVR, use the desktop mode and browse to AC in your games list, load AC and then go through the launcher menu and then load to a race.

Thats literally all you need do to get AC to run in VR but it will never start in VR when you try to run AC from your Steam library- just run it as normal, set up a race on your monitor, ensure OpenVR is selected and then just start the game- when the track loads, you will be in VR.

Try posting on reddit.com/r/vive because i dont think this is a assetto specific issue.
Could also post on r/simracing.
