Error code 1008

Hi guys, I cannot launch the game due to this error code concerning the launcher.ini

Open the log.txt found in documents>assetto corsa>logs.

Look towards the last few lines- it will give you a clearer idea as to what the issue might be.

The logs folder is empty. The error says that access is denied to the launcher.ini

That sounds like a typical permissions error- delete the file and then run a Steam File Integrity check on AC.

Yeah I did that and also deleted the game and reinstall. I also autorisesed everone for this folders. No luck. It' s the file assist.ini thopugh

Did you delete the AC folder in documents?

Yes, and after the reinstall it's back but all the folders are empty so only the folder structure is rebuild..

Strange is that if I delete the folders in documents after launcing the game they're back so the game (steam) can write the folders and after that cannot access them

Had same code or very close yesterday, couldn't log in to steam..even my internet was impressivly c(l)ocked out and didn't even load youtube.
Since i moved here where i live now the landlord stubbornly want wifi (I scream CABLE!!) because i never had so unsteady connection, also insane and sudden pingboners 200-8000!?!
(my normal is like 35-90ms).

but today i had updates wich may been lurking til i manually ran check for updates, it was windows cumulative, the tool and another one, hopefully that was the culprit (happened before).
Just can't understand why a waiting fuggen microsoft-update interfere in such way?

Im now gonna try it out, but if it clocks out again i gonna go prehistoric ...

I have changed the name of the folder in username\One Drive\Documents to Assetto Corsa old and the issue remains the same :(
Is there a new solution to the error 1008? I had to format my SSD and now I can't play the game
