RSS GT pack cars handling weird after v3?
Hello everyone!

Since the v3 update of the RSS GT cars, I feel like the Shadow (and possibly others) is a lot more susceptible to snap oversteer, especially when going over kerbs or other terrain variations. It also seems like the car is slower now (or maybe I’m just driving less aggressively due to the increased instability). I wonder what exactly changed since the v2 update? I used to think the Shadow was a very tossable car, now even in circuits like Spa it seems so finicky, almost like an older street car like the F40…
I’ve been using mostly stock settings, except I use Soft tires for hotlapping.

Is it just me? What settings should I adjust for a circuit like Nordschleife? I’d appreciate any help! :)

Cheers!

I just bought the pack a while ago so can't compare. Changelog is here: http://racesimstudio.com/rss-gt-pack-finally-complete To me the Saleen is the most stable of the pack, Lamborghini and Lister require really careful driver inputs.

One thing I have noticed is that cold tires make a much bigger difference than with most Kunos cars. Murcielago especially is near undriveable until tires warm up. So use tire blankets or make sure they are properly warmed up

Yes, I use tire blankets. I've seen the changelog, but it's pretty vague.

I've noticed that setting more ARB to the front helps a bit with the kerbs, but still it's not quite like it was before...

I did a quick lap with the Lanzo in the Nordschleife, not only did it feel similar to the current Saleen, but I also shaved off 1s of my previous lap time (would've been around 3s, but I screwed up a turn).

I feel like maybe they have "nerfed" the Saleen...

EDIT: Well, I think I figured it out. It seems the Saleen was bottoming out in the Nordschleife. I've increased front height to 22 and rear to 50, and it seemed to behave much more predictably. Managed to shave off 6s off my time also. :)
