I need some suggestions for "regular" car mods.

Now I'm not only talking about corollas a3s, golfs etc, I'm talking about ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like the renault twingo, fiat multipla, anything like that, maybe a lada or a stock trabant.

For some reason I like driving these. Any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥/regular car mods are appreciated.

If i find anything interesting myself, I will either put it in the comments or edit this post.

Hi Salamidealer, I have driven some normal cars downloaded from Racedepartments during the development of AC. Here are some that might be fun, but I can't garantee about the sound, as many vehicules had not been patched since long ago and I did a fresh Install of the game a few month ago.

I remember racing regular cars around the Nürburgring in Gran Turismo 4. They'd take about 15 minutes per lap.

There's a placeholder for Scania in there. Can Assetto Corsa even handle an 8×4×4 configuration? Racing some atriculated trucks would be so much fun.

Most regular mod cars are absolute crap quality tier. And the ones made with a LOT of love are usually very special cars, mostly by paid modders.

I know there are paid mods for C4 vette and i think an RX7 FC. But why not a Kia/Hyundai ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? A suzuki ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? VW Jetta of 2002 when they were FWD only? Maybe an Foxbody or SN95 Mustang? A Toyota Prius?

The thing with Assetto Corsa is that the devs took the actual car, did a whole bunch of tests, looked at the inner working of the vehicle and made all of that into the cars we have in game.

The best you can hope for in a mod is that the person owns the car and has driven it extensively enough to put a decent physics model together. That's almost certainly not the case with the vast majority of cars. They're probably a 'best guess' kind of build, far more concerned about cosmetic accuracy than performance.

Take Scania, for example. Is anyone going to go out and buy a €300,000 truck, spend maybe another €100,000 on racing it and measuring its performance? Probably not. That said, I don't know how a truck handles, I'm not an HGV driver. So long as it's big and heavy it will probably do.

Many people will claim to own or race all sorts of cars; a tiny fraction of them will be telling the truth. When people make a mod and claim they're a professional racing driver (but don't want to provide a name) you know they've either stolen somebody else's work or have just reskinned an existing car.

You can rent racecars and sports car, my dude. Or take special permission from the manufacturer and pay them to be allowed to use it IRL to get a good accuracy.

These both require a fair investment of time and money. I'm not saying people don't do that, my point was more that you will struggle to find 'regular' cars, and may mods will just be reskins of existing physics models.

For example, nobody would makea realistic mod for a Mazda 2 1.4 Diesel. Who would put the time and money into that?
