Its a shame nobody made a mod or something for this, I am sure when you are handy with coding or modding this is an easy task.
This would be a mod that I would use if it existed.
Maybe someone can look into the view settings. If there is a way to move the bonnet view back and down a little so its back inside the car, that would do it but I guess you wouldn't be able to use TrackIR or VR : (
Its a realism thing that kind of sucks I think. It should be an option.
I think the cockpit has a switch setting in the actual code since the bonnet and bumper both have a switch setting in the audio manager app. I've already had a look around but I just couldn't find it, if someone knew where the audio manager app code was I could possibly do it.

i would also use this if it existed. i drive my real car round everywhere with the window down just so i can hear my chav exaust, and that includes when im being snowed on.
how a car sounds is easily as important as how it looks in my opinion and the exterior sounds are much nicer than the interior sounds in AC. having the option to drive with the window down would be nice.
Haha! I'm glad i'm not the only one who does this- come rain or shine, mostly rain as i'm in the UK but you have to have those windows down to listen to that `chav note`.
In AC I particularly like the bonnet sound when going through certain sections of the `Nord where the exhaust note echos off the barriers.
I totally agree I just notice I don't play AC that often anymore because for me the experience without TrackIR is not as fun anymore (using bonnet cam) and when using interior thus TrackIR the sound is just a little ''lame''.. Really hoping someone has the solution eventually.
