Bootcamp and install Windows, your best option.

So once you hack in onto your Mac you're going to play it with touchpad? You still need the peripherals (joypad, prefereably wheel) which are not Mac compatible. And if you manage, Steve Jobs will come back from the grave and burn your house down.

not really looking for all the mac hater messages... but thanks anyways... :steammocking:
but to answer an uninformed reply, they do have steering wheels and i have raced against them in Dirt Rally online.. so just trying to find an answer to see if its possible to play AC on a mac, serious replies appreciated...
It doesn't appear that anybody knows. I'd recommend you just have a go and refund it if not. I guess the problem might be that the game loads and runs but certain features don't work properly. Mods are all built in Python, I believe but again, I don't know much about Mac compatibility with anything non-Mac.

The only option left is Wine (free) or paid Wine based CrossOver. But it will not work with everything.

As Nakadai said, Bootcamp and Windows is the best option. You'll need a Windows license.

Bootcamp is the best (and only) solution. Even in theory you port AC to the Mac OS, you can have problem with ForceFeedBack (for ex. Logitech G25/27 doesn’t support FFB under several latest versions of Mac OS)
I played ~ 2k hours on my MacPro with Win 10 via Bootcamp without any problems
