Look for your Steam Library into which you've installed Assetto Corsa.
Go to "steamapps" there.
Search for "appmanifest_244210.acf" file in this folder.
Delete the file (make a backup before, of course).
Delete the "launcher" folder in assettocorsa main folder. (Probably not needed, but just to be sure)
Restart Steam.
Assetto Corsa will not show up on your installed games list.
Search for Assetto Corsa on all your games list, and select "Install" (just like you would want to install it for the first time).
Choose the same Steam Library you've installed AC before.
Steam will find the game's files and force recheck them and download the required missing files.
Steam should show a brief message for something like "Steamworks was installed".
Launch the game. Voila! The issue should be fixed.
You have to go to your Steam directory where all your games are installed and search for "appmanifest_244210.acf" then delete it. Then go to the same Steam directory under Steamapps\common\assettocorsa and delete the "Launcher" folder.
After that you can turn on your anti-virus again and play.
It worked for me.
You can do this for every single game on you Steam Library who has the same issue.
