Tracks not loading | AI Splice Missing

I have quite a bit of trouble with downloaded tracks and certain cars and game modes.

For example some tracks I can only play in practice alone. Other tracks when I add a certain car to the grid the track won't load. But I manage to play them.

Now I really wanted to try out the traffic tracks. So I downloaded the Transfagarasan track and AI traffic. I extracted the track to the tracks folder and the AI files to the transfagarasan track folder.

I can play alone just fine. However If I choose any of the traffic tracks (both hillclimb and downhill and slow and fast traffic) it crashes saying "ai spline missing".

What am I doing wrong. I put the cars randomly instead of choosing the ones I want so that I don't pick those ones that crash my track but I never add this error message before.
