- Clean the inside of your computer, it might be overheating. You can try forcing a framerate limit well below what you game normally runs at and see if this solves the issue before you get hands dirty...
- There is a small chance something broke on the SOL and/or CSP side (if you are using those) so you can try a reinstall... note reinstalling sol requires following proper manual, not just throwing new stuff over old.
- You can try also verifying AC steam files, but thats scraping the barrel for ideas...
ps: Visual freezing while game runs is generally a sign something went wrong with memory on the GPU.
Hopefully that's not the issue with your GPU but if it is, get shopping for a replacement in case.
You can de-clock your GPU, especially memory frequency, with minimal impact on game performance.
Are you running with framerate limit ? if no, try it! If yes, lower it a little.
Also try disabling some mod apps... some are pretty resource intensive and can cause glitches if system is unstable. Especially stuff like P-tracker or F1 huds etc.
If you want to test differeent configurations, set a race with AI and press ctrl+C (for cars with H pattern , you need to ctrl+G first) and let the AI drive while you make Tea or dinner...
Try also without post processing or without CSP enabled...
OH and try running game in different screen mode -> fullscreen or borderless windows, sometimes one can be usntable due to driver conflitcs or some 3rd party programs running in the background... speaking of, try cleaning up as much background programs as possible and then run the game. Its not uncommon some random a$$ keyboard hub software or w/e borks the video driver and makes the PC unstable.
