My game will not launch. Please help!
I bought a copy of AC during the steam sale earlier and after downloading it, the game would show the "Preparing to launch" message for a split second, and then the outline around my profile picture would light green. Steam would say I was in game for 10 seconds then I would go back to being online with no error message. I have tried:

- Verifying the Game Cache
- Restarting my PC
- Launching the game as an Administrator by going to the game folder

Pls help

Edit

There may be a coincidence as I also had this issue with Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 yesterday. Same issue, same attempts to fix it. I refunded it as I did not think it was worth the trouble of sorting out. I don't want to do the same thing with AC.

Update your graphic card driver and check that your video card supported. refere to BUH comment, try to run game in compatibility mode on another windows.

Graphics card driver is up to date. How do i check to see if my card is supported? I have a GTX 960. I tried running it in compatibility mode for windows 7, windows 8, and xp. No success. I noticed that just before my game crashes and I go back to just being online, in my steam library where it said "running" it was now saying "syncing" for a breif second. I have no clue what that means.

Okay, I exited out of everything except for my mouse software, Steam (obv), and Webroot Security becuase I'm not sure how to exit it. Tried launching AC, still no luck.

in my documents.. open Assetto Corsa > cfg > launcher.ini
Make a backup of this file (copy it then paste shortcut on your desktop)
look what your launcher reolution is at.

mine displays:
WIDTH=1920
HEIGHT=1080

it should be the same as your monitor resolution

Okay, backup made, launcher.ini found, but when I open the file, I don't see any resolution. Below is what the file contains:

set width and height to your display resolution and where mine says X86=0.. set it to X86=1 if you have 32 bit windows, or X86=0 if you use 64 bit.
