Especialy a question\suggestions for the dev team..

Why assetto corsa doesnt have any Steam Workshop support? It will be a lot easier and faster to download mods.

It has been talked about before.
Essentially they haven't had time to finish it.

It needs more than workshop support, right now all the other sims have more steam features integrated into them than Assetto Corsa, you cant even join a friends on a server through steam, in fact you cant do anything via steam in assetto corsa, like you can with other racing sims.

Agree, so lets expand my intention.
Why wouldnt assetto corsa's dev team have full steam support?

Probably because they have bigger fish to fry and setting up the steam workshop stuff isn't worth the time and effort when it's already ridiculously easy to mod the game manually.

Workshop would make this game explode, would be so much better.
Although at the minute downladign from race department is still very very easy.

Workshop is terrible as far as mod managers go.

Yeah I agree its easy. But understand that if they will change to support steam workshop they will need to also connect to the full steam interface -> Changing the current game method that while racing in opens a new program page. I dont understand why all of the UI and menus didnt change like the PS\XB versions...

It actually is, I avoid it as much as I can. Though I guess it's just a matter of opinion.

AC has a lot to improve, and I believe the workshop is not the most important thing right now. Like people said, you can't join a friend's lobby and the thing I most need is to change my controller/setting and I always need to go back to the main menu and do that. I just hope we get those basic features very soon.

Don't mean to burst people's bubbles but there needs to be some reality shed on the subject;

Start here;
http://www.virtualr.net/assetto-corsa-modding-forums-shutting

Then, if you dig deeper, you'll find that some modders started finding serious issues with physics, tires, suspension modeling and whatever else with the game's engine. When questions started getting posed and answers were few or nowhere and the issues were pressed, certain people had 'hissy fits' and it resulted in the modding portion of the forums being closed. Regardless of what is claimed, that is a more accurate and likely summary from what I've read.

Combined with monitoring for illegal content in a Workshop here, where adhering to copyrights is likely mandatory, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a Workshop. That could prove to have less than desirable consequences.

That is nonsense.

Those sections were closed because they were not used as originally intended: discussions about how to make mods, sharing information and tips.

Combining that with the workload of monitoring and moderating forums that was not sustainable so they were closed. That had the unfortunate side-effect of useful information getting lost as Kunos admitted but it was necessary step still.

The part about engine I won't even bother with.
