Well, by now you'll figure the true answer. Gran Turismo it is !!!
BTW if you're bored of racing in circles go with Forza Horizon 3, it makes the boring part of motorsport fun.
PCARS2 - After PCARS 1 I will only be buying this once it has been out for a while and some trusted sources give an honest opinion on it. The first game was terrible and they need to prove to me this is a huge step forward before they get any of my money.
Forza 7 - Forza 1 (original xbox) and 2 (xbox 360) were great but any after have been a step down from the original 2 games IMO. I know they have supposedly tried to move towards the sim end and away from the sim cade end of the scale with the 7, being out on PC and having triple screen suppoert etc. Again however, based on previous form, this needs to be proved to me before I would part with money for it.
GT Sport - I can't see it being anything on the sims I play currently.
I currently play a mix of/swap between iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Automobilista and rFactor 2. Something special needs to come along to get me off these titles and the ones you listed certainly won''t
Atm Forza is.. graphic.. that's all.
Pcars2, wait for a release, the first one was meh, alot ppl say pcars2 is more or less a 'fixed version' of pcars1
Also some cars are good and others insanely bad to drive
This review is pretty spot on and the best i found so far

Gran Turismo has been reworked extensively on physics, apparantly. I would imagine it is somewhere between Forza and AC.
I have XBOX1, PS4 and PC`s and Run the TM T500RS & TM TX WHEELS for Controll
FORZA 7
I tried the FORZA 7 DEMO last night on a Original XBOX ONE and the Eye Candy was not as good as i Expected it to be
Dont get me wrong it was ok and if i did Purchase this it would be the DIGITAL Version so i could play it on PC and get better VISUALS
The Physics also NOT GREAT but NOT BAD
I was not SOLD by the first Tests i done last night, and at £79,99 for the Ultimate Edition which is the Version i would Purchase im not ready to throw the Cash away
I will Test it again this Weekend, but i dont think i will Buy it
Btw i have FORZA 5 and 6, also FORZA HORIZON 2 and CLASS ALL FORZA as ARCADE / SIM TYPE RACERS
PROJECT CARS 2
I will be grabbing my PreOrdered LE copy from GAME today for £30 ish
I will drop my thoughts on this at the Weekend
I Purchased the first Pcars and it wasnt to bad tbh, Physics are More SIM than ARCADE but nothin like AC Physics
GT SPORTS
I have also PreOrdered this and i am expecting it to be More SIM like than any other GT Previously Released as well as better Eye Candy
I have all the GranTurismo from 1-6 but i Skipped GT5
Am i a FAN BOY ?
Yes i am a FAN BOY, of any RACING GAME ;)
On any PLATFORM
Btw, it will be Interesting to see what AC2 brings to the Table
You could not trust 90 % of the reviews after most were given by people who had vested intrest in the project via its funding methard.
The hype train is still in use but some are saying it is better than PC1 & some are still finding issues & short comings.
Forza 7 I have the demo but found the FFB dire but only had less than 30 mins with ot so far due to other comitments.
GT I said never again after GT5 & GT5.1 / 6 yes it maybe the god father of all the racing games that followed but PD failed to move with the time & other developers , other than its visuals always a GT strong point everything else seemed to take 2nd place , the AI was already dated by the time GT4 hit the market.
The whole botched premium content of GT5 & the dire sounds , I think GT 6 took a real beating from the likes of P-Cars , and the many other racing games now on the PS system.
I do have soft spot for GT though the whole series bar the last two have given me many hrs of joy.
But I have over the same time period found PC simming , I also do not own a PS4 in any format.
If I did then I mite have taken the pluge again.
Dare I say there is to much choice these days that is not a negertive thing , however I do not have you can get real playing value if like me you have limited time to play all these games.
That's not really much of an argument is it though? The quality of the game isn't measured by the age of the franchise, and GT Sport isn't a traditional sandbox Gran Turismo game, it's a smaller title centred around competitive e-sports.
By the description the thread starter makes, I think Forza would be the best choice.
Yeah, I think you're right. At this point I can't see myself not buying Forza, unless some massive flaw becomes apparent. I definitely won't be getting PC2, I'm sure it has an appeal of its own but it doesn't seem to have enough for me to want to spend my extremely limited budget on it.
GT Sport, though... I'm still intrigued by it. The GT series has always had a feel to it that just clicks with me somehow. I know it's not exactly a paragon of realism these days, but I still find myself loading up GT6 sometimes just to do a few laps of Trial Mountain or Deep Forest, tracks which I've been driving around for nearly 2 decades now. I'll have to wait to see how it goes.
For now, though... yeah, Forza. The more I've played the demo the more impressed I am. I tweaked the settings a little and it just looks so good and runs so smoothly. And now I'm used to it, the handling seems like a really good fit for my playstyle (ie zero skill and more interest in having fun than pure realism).
Anyway, thanks for the input folks!
