Reset Position in VR Mode?
Hello,
I just bought the game(it's downloading) and I don't really want to play in front of my desk, when in VR mode. Is it possible for me to calibrate my position?

I will work if you are within your tracking volume. In the game(in the car) you press Ctrl+Space to center the view. You adjust the view with the in game camera adjust app. (while in car- right of screen menu)

If you hold 'Glance Left - Glance Right' together it will recenter the VR view in Assetto...I use Joy2Key to map these to a wheel button or you can just assign them from the game control menu (but that requires 2 wheel buttons).
EDIT
Whilst holding the 2 glance buttons/keys you can also free move your head position for fine adjusting.

'Glance Left - Glance Right' what are the buttons on the keyboard?

If I rememeber rightly I dont think they are set to anything by default...you need to assign them...but I could be wrong.

Where do you assign them? In the game, or by editing a file, or by using a tool?

also check out how to bind ESC to your wheel so you dont need to blindly grab for your keyboard everytime in VR

You don't even need to use a third-party program to reset VR view.

Either use CTRL+SPACE or press the mapped LOOK LEFT+LOOK RIGHT buttons on your wheel at the same time.

Or just use the `reset view` option in Oculus Home or SteamVR.

yep, I use my wheel to reset the position when I connect to a server now.

Does anyone know why the Glance Left+Glance Right button combination does not work to reset my view in VR?

Ctrl+Space does work fine but I cannot easily reach my keyboard while sitting in the correct position in my cockpit. I have Glance Left and Glance Right mapped to 2 buttons on my wheel but pressing them in game does absolutely nothing.

Only Ctrl+Space seems to work and is incredibly frustrating to use. Hoping someone knows why the Glance Left+Right combo doesn't seem to work...

I am using Content Manager. I also could not find a dedicated mapping for "Reset View" in Content Manager despite seeing people talking about such a setting for it on old forum posts.

I also play in VR and glance left and right doesn't work for me. But if I play in flat screen, it works. Not really a big problem since the whole point of VR is to look around using our heads, like irl, so I wouldn't really use the glance features anyway.

As for centering the VR camera, you'll find that in CM > settings > AC > controls > system. It's in the bottom left, "reset camera in VR". Just bind it to a button on your wheel/controller and you're good to go. No more need to reach for CTRL+space.

Thank you, good sir!! I was looking right at the setting and somehow missing it. This worked perfectly. Thanks again! :gs_joy:

Content Manager/CM is a great little program handles Assetto Corsa and all (most) of the downloads in the game. All you need to do is drag and drop a file to the CM and then let the CM install it for you. Most people would highly recommend this program because not only is it easy to use but it works so well.
