Aniway for the launch control, i would like to see it implemented..
For the downshift protection, i agree with Nakadai, you have to learn to drive correctly, like in real life and not overdriving..its not a grid game(-;
for the downshift protection i think you should get used to the game first learn how to dproperly drive the cars and if anything downshift protection will make you slower not faster and go into a wall lol you cant really complain about this anyway as you only have 50 hours on the game , just play it more and get used to it better ;)
Sorry but I do not think anyone looks the gears display while braking and downshifting..you have to understand the right time for downshifting listening to engine noise and depending on the distance from the curve, it must be a very "instinctive" thing, you have to let each gear do its "job" helping you to brake the car ... you can not just downshifts as fast as possible! It does not work that way in reality .. I've never had any problems.
The "problem" with that analoque is that steering gamma is there to assist people who don't have the capability in their hardware to "steer correctly" meaning they have less rotation in their wheel than the car has. Whereas "gear down/up" is the same binary function for everyone, which is "press button" or "pull flappy paddle".
*edit: don't think i'm saying this out of spite. i often "miss" downshifts myself due to the protection. but that's MY fault, not the game's. is it annoying? yes. but i wouldn't call upon the devs to "fix" something that's essentially just MY fault.
