Game won't launch.
Hi! I've been having some trouble playing assetto corsa simply because the game won't launch. Once i get to the menu and click the "Start" icon it starts loading for a bit and then goes back to the menu. I doubt the problem has to do with my hardware since i've got a gtx 1080ti and a ryzen 1800x. I've tried re-installing the game and changing the graphics to minimum, but no luck.

Try deletiing the Assetto Corsa folder in Documents.... a new folder will be created at next start, with all default settings.

Whan you have problems like this you can verify the integrity of the game cache instead of reinstalling........ reinstalling can still miss files in the download, but the verify integrity process checks every file and replaces any missing files.

From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files... button.
Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.

What used to be the biggest culprit for this was that Assetto used to like the in-game resolution to be set the same as the desktop or monitor resolution...I dont know if this is still the case but worth a look.

Do you have it set to single display mode. Do you have the right graphic card drivers for the gtx 1080ti I for forget to change my drivers when I upgraded to my gtx 1080 from my gtx970 and it did this. Also do you have what you are trying to load if a mod my be not installed properly.

Tried deleting the folder in Documents but it didn't fix anything. As for the integrity of the files, it said everything was in order. The drivers are all updated. I've tried setting the resolution to minimum and it didn't start anyway. Any other solution?

1. Check AssettoCorsa.exe, acs.exe and acs_x86.exe is not blocked/quarantined by a security software like antivirus and whatnot.
2. Check your ingame resolution (ac > Options > Video > Resolution) is same as your recommended screen or windows resolution.
3. Go to Steam > steamapps > common > assettocorsa > _CommonRedist and (re)install all packages (*.exe) you find there.
4. Rename your Documents > "Assetto Corsa" folder to "Assetto Corsa old" and restart game.
5. Try ingame Options > General > check Force 32-bit and uncheck back if no change.
6. Paste (and/or check for errors) your Documents/Assetto Corsa/logs/ (log.txt;launcher_debug.log;errors.txt) to pastebin.org and link it.

Uninstall it and reinstall it.

Some free aanti-virus programs cause problems with this game. Try turning off any anti-virus program you have on your pc. Malwarebutes and Kaspersky are 2 programs that have caused problems for Assetto Corsa users in the past.

I checked the Force 32-bit box and it worked again. Thanks to everyone who cared and responded!

I have exactly the same problem with AC today, what do you mean by "force 32-bit box"? some settings in windows?

- update:
found the "force 32-bit" checkbox in game general settings. and it fixed my problem. Thanks so much.

Hey, same problem as the original

-Already deleted the folder in documents
-Already verify integrity
-Reinstalled the game a few times

I don't know what else i can do!

Something to notice is that the "_CommonRedist" folder never has been shown on the games folder

I want to play it so bad, its so fckng frustating :c
