There are also lots of mods here http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/categories/ac-cars.6/
i dont want to mod my game as it is like buying a product which you dont like.
this is what i would like as a request and it would be nice to see a collection of old cars
and i did not see the 1930s plymoth or 1940s chrysler or 1970s ford GT classic cars.
the old charger from dukes of hazzard
so i just am a old man hoping the devs of this games see this post and takes this in to consideration
They do have the old charger from the "Dukes of Hazard"! (without the paint job). Some mods are good and a lot of time and skill were put into them. Others not so much as of this point.
The modding community at racedepartment, http://assettocorsa.club/en, and http://assetto-db.com/ (hit or miss on this last one) are pretty good. I don't think they have plans for American muscle. The last Ferrari ended up being an F1. Really?! hahaha.
You want those cars you will need to go the modding route. It is what it is and you make a good point.
However, most mods are free. If you have to pay, you run into the issue you make about buying a product you may not like. Good luck and happy racing!

You didn't buy and add the DLC content to your copy of Assetto Corsa because you didnt like the product either.
There are a few classic cars in AC.
the alfa romeo GTA is pretty fun to drive. the 911 carrera RSR, and some other 70s and 80s cars. So there are some cars without fancy electronics.
I see you only have about 11 hours on assetto Corsa. And i can't imagine that you have really tried those cars. I need quite some time before I learn a car, and get the max out of it. Maybe you can do that in an hour. IMO The 1974 911 Carrera RSR alone is good for many hours of racing and tweaking.
I do think that AC is focussed too much on super sport cars. I would prefer some more 70s/80s/90s hot hatches. But they aren't there. Some of them can be found at racedepartment, with indeed variable quality.
Perhaps focus more on what is there, instead of what is not there. You only have about 11 hours. try the gta, or the 911, or the toyota AE86. enough to spent hours of driving, instead of completing a collection of cars ;)
ok so how will this game run on my simulation built pc
triple monitor setup
with a htc vive
win 10 64bit
7700k chip
1080ti gpu
g29 steering wheel with shifter and peddles
i think people are really missing the point on what i asked for.
the classic cars on this game i see the only one i like is the shelby cobra
great engine sound and a great feeling when driving in vr
old cars with great mussle sound and feeling when you drive ay high speed.
as for one of you other posts
"as it is now it couldnt be simpler, a mere case of dragging and dropping folders/files........ i really dont understand this odd sudden influx of people demanding steam workshop or "easier" modding, like its a huge issue, it really hasnt been for all these years, it really isnt now....."
this day and age why do several steps to accomlish one step?
they added steam workshop so just subscribe and play
dont like the mod unsubscribe and play. i think you know how it works.
and this day and age i pay for a great pc so i dont need to go through all the hassel and experiance the best of simulation games.
so i dont want everything else what people say when there are other options simple implimentation that could improve game experiance.
if this game encourages mods then why not add steam workshop.
keep it simple

I am running a 7700K, 16GB 3200 MHz RAM, 1080TI, and a Vive.
I set SteamVR SuperSampling to 2 (find it in the SteamVR settings menu) and the Assetto Corsa SuperSampling at 2.4 (find it in the OpenVR app in-game, and restart AC after changing this SS number)
well my 1080ti is OC and ss is set to 3.5 could boost it more but i find this just right
as for your seleted car it still is the same wine ning sound v12 and looks like a flatt pan cake
i would really like to see the Hot Rods from the 1930s , 1940s era..
if you find that sort of thing i would really admire that
The Assetto Corsa SS is either added to or multiplied by the SteamVR ss number..... not sure which, but going from 2 to 3 in SteamVR SS makes a big difference when the Assetto Corsa SS is set at max 2.4

i can set steam vr to 3.5 or as high as 4 but it is better at 3.5 the highest and found smooth game play
not sure if it is the aurus brand 1080ti that helps me to achive this but either way i am very impressed by the graphics.
and i only play with steam vr settings maybe thats why my game play is smooth your mutiply is higher than mine.
and as for the car i love it but needs more like the coupe with short body style
