Yes, no ABS for GT2
Correct for GT3 too by and large but GT3 and GTE cars are used in different race series' where some of them have different TC and ABS rules
I've seen a lot of things about that online, so I've kept it off.
Interesting, I would've thought that higher number would mean more assist. Would explain why with TC 1/7 on the GTR I was slower than 4/7
I never understood the mentality that all assists should be off to be honest. If the real car uses it, then why wouldn't I? Most players in Assetto are pretty cool about that.
It would be nice though if there was more flexibility when setting up a server (So you could say allow ABS but set the level. Now it is only "Factory", "Force" or not allow at all. )
The TC setting, as has been mentioned, is reverse of what the(confusing) help text explains.
You've probably experienced feeling like there is too much TC kicking in for seemingly no reason. Too much TC (most GT2/3 cars default) may give you ultimate control while costing you time. Use the TC setting to dial in how much throttle steer you need to get the car to rotate, and to get a strong launch when exiting slow corners. Tires have maximum grip when they are slipping.
Dial the number up for less traction but more speed, and dial it down for better control and tire wear.
I like a lively setup and actually use less TC(a higher value) on tracks with tight hairpins and chicanes, which may also seem counterintuitive. To me, the value of having TC is in fast, full throttle sweepers and switchbacks. I would use more TC at Mugello than at Monza, for instance.
