I got the same issue, did you found a solution?

Yes removing the AC folder in documents folder and deinstalling to game. then go to steam files and remove the assetto corsa folder there. then reinstall it. if that doesn't work try to reinstall your .NET

Tried Asseto. Unfortunately, I don't like it (not because I find it a "bad simulator", but because I find it extremely hard to drive with a keyboard).

Yeah I wouldn't recommend KB, you really need a wheel and pedal setup.
