Does that method work for both controller and keyboard?
Alien Identity 15 ABR 2017 a las 7:41
If you are using Keyboard and Mouse the new pitstop tool is activated by pressing the arrow keys.... also used for steering. I believe the [ADVANCED]DPAD_INDEX_OVERRIDE=0 should allow you to use the arrow keys without activating the Pitstop tool.... I think it will disable the Pitstop tool.

I can't seem to find anything in the controls.ini, I added you to make it easier

You need to find the ini file relating to the controller/input device you are using....... so for an xbox360 controller you need to find the xbox360 ini file, and add the following to it, then save it:

[ADVANCED]DPAD_INDEX_OVERRIDE=0

So under the heading of ADVANCED add the line of text "DPAD_INDEX_OVERRIDE=0" without the quote marks.

Look in This PC/Documents/Assetto Corsa/ cfg/

Okay, I'm using the keyboard arrow keys to drive and there's this window thingy which I can't close (I assume it's the pit stop window) and it's purty irritating, because when I brake and turn left/right, it changes the values.

I already added a,
"
[ADVANCED]
COMBINE_WITH_KEYBOARD_CONTROL=0
DPAD_INDEX_OVERRIDE=0
"
in %UserProfile%\Documents\Assetto Corsa\cfg\controls.ini

but the window is still showing...

Adding the DPAD_INDEX_OVERRIDE=0 to the "default" ini file in the cfg folder?
Alien Identity 21 ABR 2017 a las 22:34
The other option is to remap the forward left right back to WASD, and drive with WASD, and leave arrows for the pit tool.

Try to use a controls preset for your keyboard and add those lines, then re-bind the keys you used previously.

I've done it with my controller and it worked

O que realmente funciona é colocar todos os controles em default. Fiz isso e essa tela maldita sumiu.

just use pitstop menu for mouse-->(works with controller too)

in content manager=settings/assetto corsa/system-->tick the use pitstop menu for mouse

without content manager=steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg\pitstop.cfg
change--->USE_MOUSE_PITSTOP=1
