I assume that adjusting seat position (like in ProjectCars) won't be required if we one-click the VR center. Fingers crossed :-)
Thanks!
then just as General said its CTRL+space to centre view, alternatively you can assign 'glance left' and 'glance right' in the options to 2 buttons on your wheel, pressed both together will do the same job as CTRL+space.
just a quick question to you vive users and anyone that was using revive until the latest patch...
a good friend of mine that sold me the DK2 i currently use has been using a vive with revive and has always said there is an issue with world scale in his vive compared to the DK2, he thinks the world was slightly smaller than it was in the DK2, only very slight but enough for him to notice. he also seems to think with native vive support the world scale is back to what it should be in his vive but he hasnt had much time to test it out properly, so im just wondering if anyone else has noticed a world scale change since the vive patch? as in the cars you are sat in feel ever so slightly bigger?
Off to the races!
I had IPD set at 62, I adjusted it down to 52, and up to 72, but all I saw was focus reducing. I set it back to 62 and the image is sharp and focused.
The interpupillary distance setting affects focus, reduces blur when set right. It should not affect world scale. The field of view setting might affect the world scale..... but I have not tried it because I am happy with the field of view at 56 degrees.

Maybe you just need to look a little more. It definitely does change the world scale, and it shouldn't affect focus. By the way, are you using Revive and not the new OpenVR option?
The IPD knob on the headset affects focus because it moves the lenses. The in-game app only moves the in-game cameras.
Yes I am using OpenVR early support. You say maybe I should look a little closer, but I have tried it, from 52 to 72, and the only thing that changed was the focus. Can you show any link with official information about the IPD changing the world scale?
Edit: So I found a reference to the IPD in the changelog info....
"Changelog
Fixed Setup delete function not removing preset files
Fixed Pitstop Quick Menu Fuel value when setup is fixed
Added special events for latest free content
Fixed Flag with VR and PP off
Added pupillary distance management on OpenVR app (it may affect world scale feeling)
Tweaked downshift protection indicator position to scale with screen resolution
Added more log debug for Downshift Protection
OpenVR: IPD is now adjustable (it may affect world scale feeling)
Pitstop Quick Menu Wing is now relative instead of absolute
Fixed BMW 1M rear street tyres wrong wear values"
So it "May affect the world scale feeling"..... but didn't change my world scale feeling.
2nd Edit:
So I just double checked the in-game IPD settind adjustment. When in the Porsche 911 2017 edition, there is a wrap-around head rest area on the drivers seat..... the edges of that wrap-around section did move slightly as the IPD was moved from min to max. So there is a slight change of perception, but not what I would call a change of world scale.
2 screenshots, first at IPD 48(Min), second at IPD 78 (Max)

Try doing this. Leave the lenses at 62. Turn it all the way up in the app. Do you see how the steering wheel looks like a 10 inch doughnut? Now turn it all the way down. Now does it look like a semi's hubcap, but further away?
That's what we mean by world scale. I've used enough programs that use stereo separation to change the world scale, like dolphinVR and Vorpx to know it's doing it.
And I didn't say physical IPD changes the focal distance. It just moves the sweet spot into the right place.
I have said a number of times.... I have changed from min IPD to max IPD and I don't see any real change in world scale or size of objects.
The 2 screenshots display what I am seeing..... a steering wheel of exactly the same size, on IPD 48 or IPD 78.
Could it be that my video settings are somehow very different to yours, so we are seeing very different results when changing IPD in-game settings?
Could it be that we have different video cards architexture, so the graphics are being processed very differently? I have a GTX 1070 and I-7 X-99.
