Steam Input allows VR experience to be way more immersive and makes the game playable for me in VR and not.
Setup your controllers including wheel base buttonsthrough steam input and then make sure controller settings for AC are not using steam controller boindings for wheel to work as a wheel.
Works perfectly in VR
PC is well implemented VR support,
AC is very clunky in comparison.
If sim users are using wheel fumbling about reaching for vive controller sucks. Just using wheel buttons would save a lot of fumbling about. Fumbling around for five controller is no different for fumbling about for KB+m
Kunis need to sort ui on PC so that nothing but buttons on wheel can be used for playing this game in VR flawlessly.
Launching games from game theatre is not full VR support.
i would say being able to do this greatly adds to a more immersive and intuitive way to achieve the same thing.
Recent Steam Input changes have made using multiple devices a lot easier , regardless of how games ui works. Like being able to raise or lower device priority has helped alot with options for any game in vr and desktop mode too.
But yes using vive controller and game theastre is still a good work around until vr support is improved in AC. AC sees constant improvements as does steamvr and steam input so things are just need time. and we all just need more time to retrain muscle memory from what we are used too
Thanks to that sucker I lost several "pre-race races" for the last available slot / favourite car for a MP session.
You clicked the steering wheel icon in the on-track menu using the mouse, correct? And after this, you still have no input?
Also, after setting up the profile, you need to keep the mouse cursor on the monitor inside the Assetto Corsa window.
AC almost always resets my wheel controls for me, especially when I do something differently (different USB port, different drivers). It sucks, but try to make sure you check the inputs every time.
