I was told to NOT choose a profile from the list of named profiles (in top left section), instead start at the bottom left section, make sure the pedals and steering wheel are recognised, ( some might be inverted ). Then in the top right section you can correct inverted controls and check that all pedals get 100% travel. Then in the lower right section name your profile, then save it, then load it.
Be sure to use the same usb port on your PC every time, as using different usb ports might cause your profile to be forgotten. After starting the game check to see that the profile that you named and saved is loaded, if it is not loaded then select it click "Load Profile"
So done a new build at xmas, so new PC, Win10 64, AF wheel absolutely everything was new including hard drives and decided to give AC another shot and it worked fine uptil today :( Played it last night and it was fine. Both my own named presets need all the keybindings assigned again - Accuforce wheel and buttons gone, FREX H SHIFT+ keybindings gone, pedals need assigning also. I tried READ ONLY on my controller save but Simcommander wont launch.
It kept my brake gamma which it always has done so what ever is causing it I can say with all certainty its not our hardware that keeps cocking it up.
Something is overwriting or defaulting part of our saved file. Would you agree?
This is why you are losing your assignments in your profile. If you remove the USB devices and plug them into another port- your assignment is usually lost because it no longer matches the configuration you saved.
A way to avoid this is to make sure you plug your hardware into the same USB ports everytime that matches your saved configuration- if you load AC and check the profile and it says `unassigned` then you have either a piece of hardware no ready or its plugged into a different USB port that the profile expects- simply just close AC, double-check every piece of hardware saved in the profile is plugged into the same USB ports and is all fuylly working. What I usually do prior to plugging in my wheel to use AC is to go into the wheel settings in Windows (for me its Fanatecs software) and pressing the all the pedals and wheel buttons once to make sure Windows confirms they are ready- then I load AC and its fine.
No. I disagree. Once you have a profile saved, or many and all the hardware matches what the profile expects, nothing assigned or setup in the profile changes- if it does for you, you have another issue, maybe USB related but AC is not at fault because the developers have stated `its designed that way`.
It also doesn't help that MSI haven't even bothered to label which manurfacturers controller is connect to which ports- so its sometime a game of `musical chairs` with USB devices when some get rejected or respond badly when the device is used.
I suppose this is my `reward?` for buying into the X99 platform as soon as it came out.
The USB plugs location have not been changed since last night or even since I 1st plugged them in, cant see whats changed since i slept.
Real shame they cant find a fix. I cant be arsed to setup my controllers every time i want a race, its easier to just run a different game. They managed to screew me out of a few more $£€ in DLC before I uninstalled so they win i guess. Touché
Ah man this annoyed me with my X99A board, I believe the USB 3.1 ports on the I/O and the 3.0 header are ASMedia, but that probably varies depending on model also. Nightmare.
