BMW Z4 E89 and xbox controller
Of all the cars I tried so far, I think the BMW Z4 E82 is the most difficult for me to drive with my xbox controller. It's so easy to oversteer and lose control. Driving most of the Ferraris or McLarens is a childplay in comparison. Why is that? Is there a problem with the default settings for that car? I always use default settings.

Whats difficult about it? is it twitchy?

You could alter some settings. Try following my guide here:

Speed Sensitivity to 75? Isn't it a little bit high? The current settings I use are:

Speed sensitivity: 54%
Steering speed: 25%
Gamma: 2
Filter: 0.3
Dead zone: 0.45

Trust me.. I spent an age and these work for every car. Regarless if its an LMP1 an F1 or a MX5. 75% is balanced for low and high speed corners.

I'll try it, thx.

Also.. I just tried this car.. With my pad settings and it drives fine, but......
The default tyre pressures are way too high which makes the car nervous.

I just dropped the pressures by a huge 10 PSI and ran a lap around Donnington National and its good fun. They are 35 PSI on the default setup. 25psi is much more agreeable.

Wow, who would have think that playing with tire pressure actually affected driving. The car has a much more better handling now. Is there a rule of thumb to select the right pressure?

Also, slowing this thing down can be a bit brown trouser time as it's unpredictable under braking so increase both front and rear toe by around 4 - clicks at the front (both sides) and 3 at the rear.

While you're at it I would add around an extra 1 degree of negative camber both front and rear.

St the end of the day it's still a road car so it's easy to go over the limit if you overdrive the car but following my advice should set you on the right path.

I noticed that problem as well, I could easily lose control when driving at 200kmh in straight line and trying decrease speed. Lot of settings to play around with, i'll take note.

Tyre pressures do vary depending on the car, the tyre the ambient temp etc.

Ideally I would use the in game app.
Aim for bright green on the four numbers in the four corners of the app display.

From there you want to concentrate on getting a good balance of green across the four coloured tyre displays.

Then pay attention to your display where it says O M I.

That's outer middle and inner.

It's ok for the inner to be slightly hotter than the outer s over a lap but you want the outer to match the inner or at least be closer on corners where that particular tyre is doing the work.

In general I would run a good few laps, at least 5-10 depending on the track and then check temps in the garage before changing tyres.

Adding or reducing camber to gain a balance where the inner is only around 5-10 degrees hotter than the outer. Middle should be between the two and you can raise or lower tyre pressures to achieve this.

Green is good.. Red or blue is bad.
