Is 16x AF still an FPS killer?
I recently got a vive and needless to say FPS s paramount, I have a 1070 ...so I shouldnt have issues but I know well that 16 times AF has been an issue for this game before, is it still a problem?

If so what settings are reccomended?

I would say post-processing is the biggest performance hit. I turn it off when using the vive. You lose some things like brake lights on the ai cars but it gives a nice performance boost.

anisotropic filtering is normally one of the least demanding things on a gpu in a game

Yes, normally, but AF is unusually taxing in AC
