Its a simulator...would you drive a real car with a gamepad?
Wow, these settings work like a charm for me, I don't even miss my g27 anymore. This game is much better now, last time I tried it it was during the early access with a pretty bad computer. Now I can run it on Ultra with a gtx1070 and a i5 6660k, I can even handle the AI when I run the benchmark.
Anyway, I hope you find a setting you like and enjoy the game.
Steering Speed 25%
Gamma 3.0
Filter 0.85
Deadzone 0.18
Deadzone can be underappreciated in it's contribution to a feeling of "twitchiness". Especially if your controller is not brand new.
I used to have one, and sold it. My previous desktop wasn't powerful enough to run assetto, and most of the time i was just too lazy to plug the wheel and ended up playing something else. The game works quite well with controlers now. Even if i still had my g27, i would probably play with my controller most of the time. I always felt the g27 was a toy rather than a real wheel...
It'll work great with a G27 ;)
I wonder why they dont have these settings built into the game. Default settings are horrible, especially if you dare to take off stability control.
