Logitech G29 Force Feedback & AC
So, not really Assetto Corsa related but I will get to that in a second.

Bought a full G29 setup a few days back and I love it, but I cant help but feel like the force feedback is broken or the gears that apply force are slipping, if you get what I mean.

It usually happens when I have my wheel full lock turning out of pits, maybe when the feedback is reduced as my car starts to move. It feels as if the wheel is slipping inside, mechanically speaking. Happens when I hit the rumble strip too, when im turning to get back onto the tracks. I know it does rock and rumble the wheel to simulate actually hitting the stip, but I'm not sure if my wheel is broken or if im just being paranoid xd

Any help/opinion is appreciated.

Do you have any other games that use FFB? I found that the FFB in AC needs a lot of tweaks to get it right. At the very least, pop open the right side racing menu when you are on the track and find the FFB adjustment slider and see if that makes any difference.

EDIT: I see you have PCars. How is the FFB in PCars, since the G29 FFB should be adequate in that game.

If im honest with you, I've only played assetto with the wheel so far, it seemed fine when playing in the first few hours but after a while it felt a bit more grindey/slippy when it came do the force feedback.

after trying out the LUT generator for my G29, I couldn't simply look back. It felt like a completely new game to me. It makes your FF linear, go ahead and give it a try ;)

I tried that LUT generator, and it made my wheel shake itself to pieces. The FFB was pretty sweet, but the wheel was noisier than the engine. I ended up rolling back the changes and adjusting the in-game setting to be a little closer to what the new LUT offered, without the palsy.

Still, it is worth a try.

Make sure the minimum force, and Kerb/Road/Slip is at 0 before you do the LUT. gain at 100%, filter at 10%. Do not adjust the minimum filter after do this, it will remove your LUT settings. Use gain to adjust the strength.

Steamapps/Common/Assetto Corsa/System/CFG/Assetto_Corsa file. There is a line there for Damper Gain, next to it it says set to 0 for G920. Do this. Usually removes the shaking.

FFB used to be perfect for my G29 in this game. Then something happened (not sure what, maybe game, OS, driver updates related) and now I just can't get ir to work. This LUT thing doe not help either.
