New Japanese Car / drift DLC(s) for Assetto Corsa (ideas)

New Japanese Car DLC Pack(s)

A new ♥♥♥/drift pack should be added, here are some of the cars that should be included:

- Subaru Impreza
- Honda Civic
- Honda Integra
- Honda NSX
- Honda S2000
- Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
- Nissan 180SX (and sileighty)
- Nissan 350Z
- Nissan Silva
- Suzuki Cappuccino
- Toyota AE85 (a version with a turbo)
- Toyota Altezza
- Toyota Celica GT-Four
- Toyota MR2

In total there are 14 cars that could be added to the game. A good idea (business wise) would be splitting up these 14 cars into two different Drift packs, 7 cars in each pack for $10.

Edit: When will night time driving be a thing? Or is in the game now?

Drift pack... Then lists a whole bunch of cars that aren't really drift orientated.. Sounds like you have come from NFS Underground. I have owned drift cars (Trueno, R31 coupe and a 180sx) and still have an s14 and I can tell you drifting is not as hard as being fast. Look at Ken block,can slide his car everywhere but can't win a wrc stage. Drifting is fun and I love it, but racing is even more of a thrill. Chasing down someone, watching their every move, pressuring them to make a mistake and pouncing on an opportunity as soon as it arrises all the while keeping your own car under control; intense.

I think it would be a better move to bring in more of the driver focused cars from japan such as, Honda, call it the "Type R Pack". I think there is a place for the older honda type R's :

Integra type R DC2
Civic type R K9
NSX type R (2004)

and the latest:

NSX
Civic Type R turbo

This would be good branding for Honda and they are not often seen in many car sim's.



SECOND ♥♥♥ PACK - Track/Tuned & Drift:

Furthermore, purhaps a second ♥♥♥ Pack would be apropriate with both drift tunable and race track tunable cars.

Car's such as the Mines R34 GTR (I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy a high powered R34) could be introduced in the pack and offer options to remove teh front drive chain.
This way you could have a pack to cover both drift & track /tuned drivers of assetto corsa?

Honda have always been expensive licensing wise, the amount of money they wanted for suzuka in project cars resulted in the version already made renamed into a fictional track

Plus traditionally they've not wanted to encourage the boy racer ricer aspect of the brand so minimised computer game licensing, may have changed recently though as PCars 2 looks to have the new civic

I find it funny how they dont like the 'rice'ed up car culture image. although everytime i look at a type r for sale they are usually tuned for weekend track racing.

in the last 10 years I had heard that honda sales were down and they had removed all their exciting cars which in turn could have been half the reason of the brand being seen as dull an uninspiring as one man stated ; enjoying taking hes accord for a service and feeling inspired that his accord was a product of the company that produced nsx, type R's and F1 engines.

I would have thought it would be good marketing for the new NSX and its tradition of motorsport inspired engineering. as the same asother brands in teh game appear to be using assetto and other sims to market their product and where they have come from.

license costs does explain why honda is generally only seen in Forza and GT. Let's hope there has been a change.

lol no one is mad, I can just drift perfectly fine with wheel, and with keyboard and mouse? lol you don't know that keyboard still has assits right? And I'm wondering have you ever driven a real car if you think keyboard is same as wheel? This is a race simulator, not mountain dew slap train drift ♥♥♥ simulator, there are ton of drift mods out there, you can just grab them and play them on modded servers, or you can stick with official drift tuned cars.

Assists lol? With keyboard it is almost impossible to hold a corner you. Cuz every time when i drift i see the gas pedal only half of the throttle and he says that keyboard has assist. No you are so wrong maybe on races but on drift it screws you up. You should drive a real car first

Just asking, and no more explaining to you, and almost most people in this forum can tell you that keyboard has its own internal assits, believe or not, and judging by your 60 hours in game, you are obvisouly not experienced enough

Ok now listen i got a wheel now and you're saying that keyboard has assist. omfg With wheel it is so much better to drive then with a keyboard. And btw ofc i never been in a track but i'm driving a real car. So don't tell me how to drive first of all if you want to speak add me.

Driving a car is not the same as pushing the same car on its limit on a track, which is why you see many, many inexperienced drivers at the Nord` crash, spin out or plain lose it.

Keyboard users have additional assists that you cannot turn off. You can't drive with `on and off` digital keys, so to make it easier for keyboard users- there is additional assists not found anywhere else in the game- keyboard users are givien a big helping hand.

If you are good with a keyboard, you're good at `playing` Assetto Corsa- with a wheel and pedals you are closer to real `driving` and skills gained via a wheel and pedals can indeed translate to real world driving skills.

You are right because when i got wheel at the first time i tried to drift it went horrible after 2 minutes i could drift like i drifted with mouse and keyboard. And even better. Wheel is a must for a better experience.

I don't remember what they are working on (some things were revealed some time ago during a live stream), but there was a long list of cars somewhere. Might be good idea to check what is there.

Asking for "drift" cars is not sensible regarding the amount of work each car needs for release, better to have normal and "tuned" versions like have been done so far.

S2000 and NSX would be interesting additions. :)

I doubt AE85 would be added since there's already AE86..

I think they should add those cars for drift and at all in-game for people to drive.
