The last update was 2 years ago, is this officially cancelled or just vaporware?

Alright, I'll be blunt. After having played the demo, it's clear this game still needs a lot of work. Visually, it looks pretty solid, but suffers from some poor optimization. I had to run the game on medium graphics to get a stable framerate, even though my PC is fairly powerful and can run most games with little to no issues. i'd really like to play this game but it gives me movement sickness, i dont mind camera shaking but the player character moves in a strange way.

After all these years (and one of the first STEAM games I ever downloaded) we get a trip into The Memory Zone.
