How to get it running smooth?

Havent played since release and noticed the game now saves my progress so im giving the game another go. I can't get it to run smoothly at all. 5800X3D/3090 on SSD and im in medium target settings with 60fps in 1080 with DLSS on. Afterburner shows my cpu and gpu at less than 50% usage but its not smooth at all. I was in 4k on ultra but even though afterburner still showed slightly higher system usage it ran like garbage. It shows close to 60fps but its just not smooth at all. Tried manually setting things but that just makes it worse. Any tips?

You need to wait for a fix... maybe in a month maybe in 6 month's, who knows...
I just play with low-mid settings in FHD.
i7 12700
RTX 3060
32 GB RAM
2TB SSD NVME

Play FH5 at high-ultra setting with no issues, open world too.

Yeah Instead of turning it off in bios I now turn it off with NVInspector and it still works fine,removes stutters 100%..... also helped with corner stutter in WRC10 and WRCGenerations,100% gone.I wish I knew this a loooong time ago ffs.

After turning off resizable bar in bios helped, I updated the chipset driver and the bios. Now resizable bar in bios is on again and the micro stutters haven't come back. So maybe resizable bar was just not implemented correctly in my last chipset drivers/bios (MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4).

as far as i observed (450 h on it), if you tweak the engine in race or in benchmark (video stiings), it may result in direct fps loss, or "throttling" after relaunch. Best way i found to go overr it is to create a steam backup of the game, and reinstall it totally. Gone! To avoid the best is to tweak video settings at game main menu.

I mean, the game has mostly negatve reviews for a reason that clearly state to not purchase it. It's not your hardware, it's just another broken game in 2023. They released it like that on purpose, baiting early purchasers into their beta testing program and cashing in at the same time. After a few months or a year the game will be in a finished state and sell for half the price. It's a very common way to release and sell games these days. Cash in first, let a few poor souls beta test, then fix the game a year later when it should have been released.

Alternatively, you can check on the game in 3 months when maybe it will be ready for BETA.
Cyberpunk, RDR2, Horizon Zero Dawn and Mafia Def Edition are on a sale. These will keep my busy till then

Check what your render Latency is I notice im hitting 120ms @ 60FPS should be under 20ms

Running AMD R5 7600 and RTX 4090 with 64GB of DDR5 6000 CL30 Game is a mess

its not ideal but locking at 60fps helps a lot.

you wait for this to get to beta quality out of the alpha stage. 3-6 months is my guess.
