Tried, also set my monitor to 60hz instead of 240hz. No improvment. Just reinstalled the game and gonna try to see if that makes any difference
Its like you got a new PC. I didnt have any issues up until update 5
Reinstall the game and delete the saved config file (I can't remember where it is but it's somewhere in %localappdata%->microsoft->steam thingy
You can change all grapichs back to where you had them before but now, limit the livery quality to High instead of Ultra.
Ultra-livery quality: 20fps
High-livery quality: 40-50fps
Is it the same as before Update 5? No, but it's atleast somewhat playable now. I imagine that you can get even better fps if you lower the Livery quality more or just turn it off completely
Found the location of the file you need to delete after a fresh re-install: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft.ForzaMotorsport\User_SteamLocalStorageDirectory\ConnectedStorage\ForzaUserConfigSelections\UserConfigSelections
Does it solve the issue?
jesus, so your saying changing livery quality will affect ingame performance significantly, if this is true, thats a huge thing nd everyone should know about this !
Also is it easy to nice the quality degradation when lowering livery quality ?
Yes, it seemed to solved the issue for me, although as mentioned, not to pre-update-5 performance.
The quality in livery difference is minimal. Atleast for me on a 5120x1440 (32:9) monitor with in-game FOV maxed out. I have not done any thorough comparisons in the dock with photo mode though.
In-short: Yes it fixes it, no difference in visuals in-game.
EDIT: It seems this is something I have to do each time I fire up FM now.
Turning the drivatar liveries "off" in the settings/ game/ ui menu restored my FPS to a consistent 60 (vsync limited because big screen tv for monitor).
Just keep in mind that the "featured career mode" and "advanced event setup" will default the drivatar liveries back to "on", so you will have to turn them off every time. In the case of career mode you will have to start the event, go to "settings" turn them off, leave the event, and restart the application- because the opponent cars liveries have already loaded when you get to the pre-race menu, and the "damage" has already been done. Turning them off, saves your settings for that series, and restarting the application seems to be the only way to get rid of them once they've loaded.
Hope this helps.
Lucky, man. I'm just gonna wait untill the next update
atleast 2 more years :DDDDDDDDD
