Occasional VERY long load times. Anyone else?
Is anyone else experiencing occasional VERY long load times for tracks? As in literally 4 or 5 minutes to load a track? I just did a race round Bathurst, got back to the main menu, thought I'd redo the race, loaded backup the SAME RACE and it took about 4 or 5 minutes to load the track. My system has a gen4 nvme so it can load the tracks in about 10 seconds-ish normally, and as mentioned, it only happens occasionally.

Anyone else seeing this? I'd assume it was an infinite loading screen if I wasn't so lazy and didn't keep the loading screen on for the whole 4 or 5 minutes.

Yeah - it's happening to me too. Frankly, this has been an issue since launch. I'm not sure what causes this, but it's frustrating to say the least.

Occasionally i have this problem also, i have an older computer and when it starts i get a warning that the CPU is not compatible, when i start the game it takes quite some time because the game recompile's the shader's into a format that the computer can use, it is possible that at the end of a race session the computer may get confused and dump the compiled data, it then takes a while for the game to reload because it is recompiling the data again from scratch.... im not sure if that helps you at all but your not the only one
yeah and i also can tell you why. Since i'm using a "Ultrawide-Fix" i can see the sidebars when loading and there you can see how the cars in the background are crashing alltogether (they bump into each others) and the game needs minutes to resolve this issue.

Kinda funny, but seriously annoying lol

Ohhhhhhh
That would also explain why every once in a while, you start a training session with a completely broken car...
You got to be kidding me, it takes so long because the game actually simulated the flying start and fails at it?

Nope, it still happens. Very few issues this game has have been addressed.
So far, they really only took care of really game breaking stuff...after a couple of months...

That sucks, it’s been a year and a half already. Been running into the problem, it does it 50% of the time and the loading last from 3-5 minutes.

Same here, so annoying...
It’s like they want the game to fail miserably
