"My PC game Forza Motorsport won't launch and shows the error:
'Unsupported graphics card detected, code AP205. Failed to initialize the D3D12 graphics adapter.'

My PC specs:

16GB RAM
Nvidia 2060 Super GPU
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-core processor
Nothing helps, no matter what I try. I've been troubleshooting for 2 days, reinstalled all drivers and updates, and tried everything possible, but the game still won't start. Other, more modern games run perfectly fine, but Forza refuses to launch.

Developers? Where are you? There's no solution anywhere."

In searching around, they added this check in February. The error message is saying your GPU isn't supported because it apparently doesn't support Dx12 Enhanced Barrier.

Only options I can think of is:

1. Refund the game
2. Update your GPU driver (if outdated) to see if that helps any

Wait, it doesn't let you Ignore it & proceed, as it worked before with, say, 'unsupported' CPUs? Or it does, yet it crashes shortly after pressing the Ignore button? I'm just curious.

I can't ignore it, I tried, the game just closes. Apparently, as 'The Met4l God' wrote, I am left with either a refund or a new graphics card. Although my 2060 Super satisfies me more than enough; it's a good graphics card. I don't play on a 2K monitor but on a 1080p, 27-inch screen, and the picture, in my opinion, is excellent. Naturally, I turn all the settings to ultra, and everything is okay

Thank you, kind person. It seems that I only have one option to play, and that is to replace the graphics card. Honestly, it’s a bit disappointing because the card is good, the drivers are all up to date, and I’ve already done a clean installation of the drivers. I even asked friends who work as system administrators for help, and they also couldn’t figure it out, even though they were sure the problem was very simple. Their disappointment was palpable when they couldn’t solve it. In general, this is some kind of nonsense. The game might be cool, but I can’t appreciate it; I’ll just play ACC

Dont worry youre not missing much, ive just bought it myself , but even with 9900x and 4080 rtx paired, game still have void black mid tracks ..... It is extremely fun to drive ... every other issue you can see on youtube ... is still there.

Hey man, I have the nvidia 2060 super rtx also. I run the game in 2560x1080p in Ultra DLSS, and looks really good. I know this does not fix your problem, just wanted to let you know this card does work in this game, and works good on my PC.

Hey man, I have the nvidia 2060 super rtx also. I run the game in 2560x1080p in Ultra DLSS, and looks really good. I know this does not fix your problem, just wanted to let you know this card does work in this game, and works good on my PC.

Got it! Thank you! As I understand it, this is the equivalent of Gran Turismo on PlayStation, I'm talking about Forza. I only have my PC for gaming and a Logitech G 923 wheel, so I was just looking to dive into the world of GT racing. For now, I can only enjoy ACC.
