Fix bugs and improve the game maybe? and not only ADD new content AND Fire Phil Spencer, and Chris Esaki, both are liars and incompetent people...
i mean... how much time you need to see the error, you are human, not politician, sh*t happend you know, just say... im sorry, heres qualy enjoy
And we don't even have unlimited automatic real time replay saving on the PC! There are just no excuses for this. It's nonstop technical self imposed bad decision restrictions and only themselves to blame.
It is so immensely disappointing and infuriating how after all these years, they basically have no signs of tangible passion or innovation for car culture any more. The detached clueless class like Daddy Stroll putting baby Stroll in a F1 driers seat is the level of delusion we are at now.
At least there are still those with actual racing experience at events like 24 hours at Le Mans and 7 time F1 World Champions involved in other franchises that are lapping all the rest. All while turning many into real world car drivers because the others are driven for the ultimate in realism, fidelity, and accuracy.
After this year of promises and more bugs than value adds, It physically hurts to have to witness this.
Since FM4 13 years ago, it has been more excuses, regressions, and lost features.
And all the rapid fire marketing campaigns in the world only highlight, without tangible significant change, it's all a disappointing joke at this time. a willful refusal and denial of how disconnected from what the passion of this community even is. An echo chamber that censors any attempt to help them from ruining things.
The same folks that led to over a decade of decline clearly aren't able to even see it, just make lip service marketing memos and releases for the complicit media outlets to parrot.
Thanks for a handful of years from roughly from '05, but like the highschool QB who peaked long long ago, this is well just even worse.
There is no tech, framework, AI, shortcut, hand waving or hot air that is the solution here. Forza lacks vision, passion, and clarity - completely devoid of involvement from the immense passionate communities around automotive love.. Truly know it alls who think they know better despite serious lacking results, always with an excuse, never with an insight on how their plan was fundamentally misguided.
I'm curious, who is "the rest"?
Again, it doesn't matter if a user's PC doesn't meet actual min reqs, if the game runs on said user's PC, it's fine. And since the game was NOT re-written onto completely different engine/rendering pipeline (in which case that WOULD justify the drop of older gen CPUs), and Update 15 just introduced some changes to things we had previously working - and now they don't - there's no just reason for T10 to stop supporting older processors, no matter if they meet the minimum system requirements, or not.
T10, the game worked fine, and your programmers decided to sacrifice those players who own older gen CPUs (because you definitely have the numbers on your playerbase's PCs, I doubt you don't), and this is unacceptable imo.
I repeat, I wouldn't be upset if the game was re-built using a completely new engine, say, FM2023 Engine V2.0, in which case that would be much more believable & justified. Like, if devs decide to move from Unreal Engine 4 to UE5 it is to expect that some older hardware would become unsupported & thus rendered obsolete after the engine migration.
But this wasn't the case for FM2023. And you may argue what you want that the team had optimized CPU load, and introduced RTGI on PCs, yada-yada, then how could update that was meant to optimize CPU load break the game on older CPUs which previously ran the game just fine? And let's just not get started on RTGI, since it's an optional visual feature, it obviously should not affect anyone really unless they decide to toggle it on.
T10, hear me out, this is what you should do ASAP:
1. Release a patch-fix to bring back old CPUs support so that everyone who could run the game prior to Update 15 could continue playing without an issue. Yes, it includes those with unsupported CPUs which were 'unsupported' only in your reqs text, but in reality ran the game just fine;
2. Make all the singleplayer/career tours permanent, including your announcement promise earlier this year to bring those back so people could earn the cars they missed. If you're so keen on FOMO, then let the FOMO stay in multiplayer lobbies only. Career tours should be additive, meaning the amount of tours should only increase, tour by tour. Permanent tours in Career/singleplayer, FOMO tours in multiplayer.
3. Cut off all the always-online parc, let the players play the Career/singleplayer tours with their saved cars (incl. liveries & custom perf. tunes) offline.
Its a shame T10 decided to end forza motorsport like this, but it is what it is, 1-2 more years and the game maybe is what it should have been at release
