I am thinking of buying automobilista 2 now anyway-
there is a lot of derisive comments concerning this game at present, maybe I look at this game again after the other title I mention.
I sorta want a game that is mostly accepted by its user base.
This is probably the best feeling forza, it's the closest to assetto corsa and doesn't have them same super arcade physics as forza horizon. I was in fact pleasantly surprised. Grab it if it's cheap
Ive also played both GRID(2019) and Legends both were and still are amazing Legends being better then 2019 and honestly a lot more to do as far as Career Mode and then the Story just more "Arcadey" and way different handling
I never wrote that forza is a simulator game, but it is not so much arcade as grid

I mean if you are curious about Forza you could still take one month of game pass subscription, you should even get a introduction price for something silly like 1-3€ I think?
You get Forza and about 100 games to try. Just remember to cancel recurring billing immediately.
Other than that I would recommend Assetto Corsa/ Assetto Corsa Competizione over Automobilista 2.
Although both Assetto and Autombilista aren`t really meant to be played with a joypad, you can but I would rather play Forza if you don`t have a wheel.
Someone might like this.
the original assetto corsa isnt great in my opinion (forcefeedback wise)... the second instalment (latest one) though... damnnn!!!!
on my logitech G923 there is a feature called TRUEFORCE.. and assetto corsa competitione (or however you spell it lol) activates TRUEFORCE ... you can feel the engine RPM vibrating the whole gaming seat from the G923's vibrations as you rev the engine... honestly it makes the hairs on your arms stand up lol its AMAZING!!! as for the forcefeedback? second to none!!!! incredible!!!! i have about 160 games lol and the only other sim that activates TRUEFORCE fully like ACC is dirt rally 2.0 ... those 2 sims with a logitech g923 are by far the most real feedback i have ever felt =] i cant speak for any other way of playing like a different brand of wheel or a control pad or whatever but with TRUEFORCE activated those 2 are crazy cool!!! .... p.s i also have basically all other driving games including automobilista 2 (which is good!, but the forcefeedback doesnt activate TRUEFORCE so it just feels like a regular driving game to me lol
i have heard people talking about TRUEFORCE saying its just a gimmick (people that obviously havent tried either of these 2 titles with it or dont even own it at all!) and i think i would agree with them if it wasnt for ACC and DR-2.0 showing me what it can really do!
i wish more games would activate TRUEFORCE =[ .... i honestly expected FORZA to but they didnt bother lol so once again on a G923 it just feels like regular weak FFB from 2007 lol
i cant even explain the difference... its like you can liteally feel even single bump in the road, every directional weight change with trueforce... once you have felt it nothing will ever come close again!!!
p.s... automobilista doesnt have any sort of career or goals!? you just choose a track, a class and all the race details i.e length/time of day/weather ... then you hit GO lol
thats about it lol ... now ... unless you have a good imagination and/or know of loads of historical races to set up and try out you are kinda of left alone with your thoughts in the menu lol ... like... what are you supposed to do?
it does have fantastic weather though i will give it that!! the ability to start a long race with the sun shining... then the clouds come over it rains an then everyone bundles into the pitts to change tires lol i think you can set up like 4 different weather changes in a race, which is very cool if you are trying to create a real race event that happened 10/10 weather... but ACC also has good weather effects and you have a detailed career! and if you have a logitech G923 the best feedback i have ever felt
